Terms of Service

Section 1Current status

The English Terms for editorial's international service are still being prepared and have not been approved for launch. This notice does not create a contract, make an offer of service, or replace approved Terms of Service.

The existing market-specific terms are not reproduced or translated here. A literal translation would not settle the commercial, operational, and legal decisions required for the countries where editorial may operate.

Section 2Review required before launch

Qualified counsel and the product team must approve the following areas against the production service:

• Contracting parties and markets: the responsible entity, use through personal accounts only, supported countries, and each customer's authority to agree to these Terms for themselves.
• Service scope: Proofreading, Copyediting, Stylistic editing, deliverables, exclusions, customer review duties, and service limitations.
• Manuscript rights and acceptable use: upload authority, required processing rights, prohibited material, confidentiality, and enforcement.
• Accounts and access: authorized users, permissions, security, suspension, termination, and deletion.
• Commercial terms: quote acceptance, currency, taxes, invoicing, credits, cancellation, refunds, and failed payments.
• Ownership and risk: manuscripts, deliverables, service IP, warranties, liability, remedies, governing law, and dispute process.

Section 3Current restrictions

Do not purchase a service or upload a manuscript until the approved Terms of Service are published for international customers.

Approved Terms must be presented for acceptance wherever required before those capabilities open to international customers.
